The Quick Start Guide (QSG) is designed to give new players an easy start in V5 larp- something to glance through quickly to get the gist of what a mechanics based larp offers. They can then pick a ready-made character out of the back and jump right into game and play for a couple of sessions. It even provides a resolution mechanic for brand new players that trivializes challenges or encourages veteran players or backup storytellers to teach the new player the full process of what they are attempting to do.

The QSG functions as a recruitment tool for larp groups and those who want to get an idea what Vampire: The Masquerade is all about, but it does not allow one to create a fully fleshed out character, or one with significant xp to it.
