Story Preview: L.A. By Night: Touchstones​

Touchstones are connections for vampires to the mortal world. In some way these humans represent the Convictions that bind kindred to their Humanity. They can be loved ones from your past that persist after your embrace, someone who reminds you of a person lost to the flow of time or, just a mortal who acts as a reminder of values you once held so dear. Touchstones shield you from the darkest desires of the Beast and keep you from devolving into a monster. Replenishing your will to keep going in the World of Darkness. What does a kindred do when their line to the mundane world is in danger? A threat to a Touchstone is a threat to a vampire's very soul.

As a player in L.A By Night: Touchstones you take on the role of an Anarch neonate who has come to the conclusion that someone or something is stalking not only your Touchstone, but those of a few others. As part of a hastily organized gang of young kindred, you and your cohort realize this threat could be the foundation of some larger danger to the local kindred population. Unwilling to risk the knowledge of your Touchstones becoming known beyond the group, you and your compatriots seek to protect your Touchstones without revealing your nocturnal nature to them or breaking the Masquerade.
